3 Days to Kill
The movie 3 Days to kill is about a man, Ethan who left his family in Paris to work for the CIA. After so many years working for the CIA he went back to Paris due to the fact that he had a brain cancer ad have less than two months to live. He want to make things right with his family most especially his daughter. On getting to Paris Ethan met Vivi. Vivi was his boss in Paris. Vivi had a cure to the brain cancer of Ethan but will give it to him only if he agree to work for her.
I think this movie passed the test. Ethan’s wife Christine raised their daughter Zoey alone. Obviously Christine and Zoey talk to each other in this movie due to their relationship. In their conversations, they did not discuss anything related to a man. They had two conversations. First was when Christine was leaving on a business trip, and the second conversation was when they were getting ready for Zoey’s friend party, they discussed and argue on how Zoey is going to dress, the shoe to be precise.
I think this film is feminist. In this movie women did not depend on men. For example, when Ethan left his family for work, Christine took his responsibility and take very good care of Zoey and even Ethan said to Christine that “Thanks for taking care of her”. This is a kind of proof that women are strong enough to take position of men in the family. Unlike in the other movies that men always play the role of the boss. Another example is Ethan’s boss Vivi.  Vivi had male bodyguards who stick to her instructions. I strongly believe that this film is feminist.
